Stock Trade Intel is an independent site operated from Queensland, Australia. This page explains what personal information we collect, why, and what you can ask us to do with it. We handle personal information in line with the Australian Privacy Principles under the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth).

What we collect

If you browse the site, we do not ask you for anything. No account is required, and we do not use advertising or tracking cookies.

If you use the contact form, we store what you type and a little context:

your name and email address, so we can reply;
your organisation and a stock code, if you choose to give them;
your message;
the page you were on and your browser's user-agent string;
a one-way cryptographic hash of your IP address, not the address itself. It lets us spot repeated abuse without storing where you are.

Why we collect it

To answer you, and to stop the form being used for spam or abuse. We do not sell personal information, we do not share it for marketing, and we do not use it to build a profile of you.

How long we keep it

Contact messages are kept for 3 months and then deleted. Server logs, which record request paths and errors, are kept for 90 days.

Who else is involved

Market data and announcements come from public sources. Nothing on this site is provided by, endorsed by, or affiliated with ASX Limited.

Access, correction and deletion

You can ask us what we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Email [email protected] or use the contact form. We will respond within 7 days.

Security

Traffic is encrypted in transit. No system is perfectly secure, and we will tell affected people promptly if a breach occurs that is likely to cause serious harm, as the law requires.

Changes

If this policy changes we will update the date at the top of this page.
